Zadock Laws Update

After bouncing around from several of the top programs in New York City such as 2008 New York State Federal Champions Rice and Wings Academy. Zadock Laws has finally landed at Canarsie, where he feels he has felt the most comfortable in years.

“I didn’t feel I was given the opportunity I deserved,” says Laws on his departure from Rice.

Being “unfocused” was the main factor for the 6’5″ wing players leave of absence from Wings.

Now at Canarsie high school, Laws expects to be a great asset this upcoming season.

At 6’3″ 230, Laws creates many match up problems at the wing position. The Bronx native has the ability to beat his defender off the dribble and finish with contact in the paint.

Even though the past two years have been bumpy for Laws, the next few are already planned.

The rising senior will reclassify into 2011 next year at a prep school such as Winchendon or Tilton Prep and then take a post-graduation year the following season making him a 2012 prospect.

Upon graduation in 2012, Laws will then choose a college that best fits him from a list of suitors. These schools interested in the scoring wing are Portland University, Tennessee-Martin and University of Jacksonville.

But as of now, Zadock Laws is just trying to do his best to have a great season at Canarsie high school.
